Dr. Ghassan Abou-Alfa is a medical oncologist at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY. Dr. Abou-Alfa specializes in the treatment of gastrointestinal cancers; pancreas, gall bladder, and bile duct tumors; and primary liver cancer. In an effort to improve the effectiveness of cancer therapy, he is also focused on working to incorporate small biological molecules that target cancer therapy into the treatment regimen for chemotherapy-resistant gastrointestinal malignancies, specifically pancreatic and hepatobiliary cancers.
Dr. Abou-Alfa has authored or co-authored many medical publications in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Seminars in Oncology, Cancer and other peer-reviewed journals.
